Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania

Day 1 & 2
Upon arrival at Kamuzu International Airport , you will drive for about 2 hours to Senga Bay, where you will stay, on Lake Malawi, at the Safari Beach Lodge for two nights, Senga Bay is regarded as one of the best beaches in the region.

Day 3
Early departure from Senga Bay for a 7 hrs drive, via Mandimba, to Cuamba. Packed lunch on-route. In Cuamba Town clients will stay overnight at the Dutch run hotel Vision 2000 on full board basis. Cuamba Town is very lively with music and local markets. Hotel Vision 2000 is " the best there is in town ", but basic. For those with an adventurous spirit and a willingness to be open to and respectful of local customs, this unspoiled region can be one of Mozambique's most rewarding.

Day 4
From Cuamba an early departure by  train up to Nampula, and check in at Girassol Nampula Hotel.

Day 5 & 6
Travel to Ilha de Mozambique, Escondindinho. Enjoy a dhow trip at Ilha and a guided tour of Ilha during the two days stay.Ilha de Mozambique is one of the World's Heritage Sites. It is from this tiny Island that modern Mozambique got it's name. Ilha de Mozambique is a cultural melting pot: African, Arabian and Portuguese. Walk through the small streets and mix with the local people. Fresh sea food is bought directly from the fishermen,

Day 7 & 8
From Ilha de Mocambique it takes around 6 hours to reach Pemba. Packed lunch en route
The coastal town of Pemba lays claim to some of the finest coral reefs in all of the South Eastern Africa. Brilliantly coloured coral is but a short swim from the white sands of Wimbe Beach. Divers and snorkellers enter clear depths and swim among a profusion of exotic fishes. As you might expect, the seafood is rich and plentiful enough to take your taste buds on holiday of a life time.

Day 9 & 10
Travel to the north ( around 3 hours ) through pristine bush to the coastal villages of Quissanga and Tanganyanga. Here you board traditional dhows (boat) , at high tide, for Ibo Island where you will stay at Ibo Island Lodge. Explore an ancient island where Muslim traders operated in the 15th Century, before it became a major slave market and trading post for the Portuguese in the 18th Century. Historic buildings, 3 forts and a beautiful old Catholic church still remain.

Day 11
From Ibo Island take a  boat  back to the mainland and continue up north to Mocimboa da Praia where you will stay at Chez Natalie.

Day 12
Travel to Old Boma Hotel in Southern Tanzania, a national monument, the Old Boma Hotel is a 100 year old fort, beautifully restored into a comfortable hotel with up to date facilities, whilst retaining many original features and charm.

Day 13 & 14
Early departure from your hotel for a seven - eight hour drive to Kilwa Masoko, check in at Kilwa Seaview Resort, enjoy your tour of Kilwa Kisiwani and Songo Mnara on the second day. On the coast at Kilwa Kisiwani Island are the ruins of one of East Africa's most important cities.

Day 15 & 16
Early departure from Kilwa for a seven - eight hour drive to Selous Game Reserve. Late afternoon boat safari on Rufiji River where you will stay at Selous Wilderness Camp.

Day 17
After a 6 hour drive from Selous to Kipepeo beach Village, enjoy some resting on Dar Es Salaam's Southern beaches. The water is clear and blue and there are several optional activities or time to relax.

Day 18 
Transfer from the Southern beaches to Dar Es Salaam International Airport for your flight home.
